Go Back

Terry's TT win in 1968 came at the fifth attempt. His debut in 1964 on a Triumph powered machine resulted in 5th place. Subsequent races were on the BSA and he gained 7th, 9th and 6th places respectively in a BMW dominated event until the two tier race in 1968 where the BMW's were all running in the 500cc category. The fastest lap in the 750cc race was achieved by Chris Vincent (also on a BSA) who was leading until mechanical problems forced his retirement. Terry went on to win the race which was to be his last TT. He sadly died the following year from thrombosis.
